This event is presented to ensure that oncology healthcare professionals are aware of all the valuable resources available to cancer patients and their families in Maricopa County and throughout Arizona.  If you are an oncology healthcare professional, including oncologists, nurse navigators, social workers, nurses, nurse practitioners, community healthcare workers, promotoras and other providing healthcare to people affected by cancer, consider attending.

International Cancer Education Conference

WHEN:  September 24-27, 2024
WHERE:  Lexington, KY

The 2024 International Cancer Education Conference is co-organized by the American Association for Cancer Education (AACE), the Cancer Patient Education Network (CPEN) and the European Association for Cancer Education (EACE). The meeting is intended to meet the dynamic needs of oncology professionals who educate people as part of their practice. We trust that the 2024 International Cancer Education Conference will renew enthusiasm and provide an excellent showcase of learning opportunities from faculty around the world. ICEC offers CEUs for physicians, nurses, social workers, and CHES professionals. All professionals interested or involved in cancer education are invited to attend!

For Cancer Survivors, Family, and Caregivers, this event is part educational and part nurturing.  Hear physician speakers, learn out community resources, enjoy a free breakfast and get some giveaways. Registration opens at 7:30 AM. Space is limited!

Ironwood Annual Survivors’ Day: Free Pancake Breakfast & Community Event

WHEN:  Saturday, October 19, 2024  | 8-11 am

Every year, Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers and Ironwood Women’s Centers hosts their Annual Survivors’ Day Celebration event. It is an event created to inspire their patients and give them the hope they need to keep moving forward. This event not only brings the community together but also provides essential resources for cancer survivors and their families.

Join us at this fun-filled event for the community. Flapjacks will be flying at the pancake breakfast and you will be treated to a Tai Chi demonstration, kids crafts, face painting and a survivor celebration. A healthcare team will be on hand to conduct head & neck cancer screenings.

Maizes, MD talk about the role nutrition plays in keeping us all healthy.  Hear how our Bag played an important role in guiding one recipient during her cancer journey. Plus see how our materials and resources are helping nearly 100,000 patients and caregivers conquer fear through information.

Individual tickets are $25 and you can host a table of 6 for $200. By supporting this event, you will ensure everyone has access to these amazing resources.
