This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected by the Company through the Site. Although the Site may provide links to third-party websites, such third party websites are not covered by this Privacy Policy. These links are provided for your convenience only, and the Company assumes no responsibility for the privacy or security of information you provide to any third party through linked websites or any other means. “Third Parties” mean any person or entity other than the Company and you.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to collect information from you through your voluntary submission. For instance, such information may be submitted (i) through your use of an online form to request products or materials, make a donation, or participate in event fundraising, (ii) through your use of an online form to register with Company to access and use certain portions of the Site, or (iii) by sending Company an email. 

We will not sell or rent your information with any third party outside of our organization, without your explicit consent.

Unless you ask us not to, by providing your email address to us, you explicitly authorize us to contact you via email in the future to tell you about content or events of interest, or changes to this privacy policy. 

We reserve the right at all times to: (a) use or disclose any information we reasonably believe necessary to satisfy any law, regulation, government request, court order, subpoena or other legal process; (b) edit or remove any information, in whole or in part, that in Company’s sole discretion is objectionable, disruptive to the Site or in violation of the Terms and Conditions; (c) use and disclose any information when the Company believes it is necessary to prevent harm or injury, to prevent fraud, or to protect the Company’s legal interests; and (d) use and disclose any information in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.

We may also transfer personal information in the event we transfer all or a portion of our operations. Should such an event occur, we will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use personal information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. 

Security

We take precautions to protect your information.  

Wherever we collect sensitive information, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the Web page. 

We have put in place reasonably appropriate physical, electronic, and/or procedural safeguards to protect your information. However, even with such measures, no one is able to guarantee that unauthorized Third Parties will not be able to bypass these measures or otherwise capture such information. By using our site you acknowledge these risks and agree to hold us harmless due to any Third Party’s unauthorized access to or use of your personally-identifiable information.

We use “cookies” on this site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of any other site that collects personally identifiable information.

Children

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. Neither the Company nor any of its services are designed or intended to attract children under the age of 13. We do not collect personally-identifiable information from any person that we know to be under the age of 13, without prior verifiable parental consent.  A parent or guardian may revoke their consent and ask that information about their child be deleted from the site by contacting our offices via mail (see: address below) or email at info@bagitcancer.org. To do this or to review personal information collected from children, we must verify the identity of the requesting parent. When a parent or guardian revokes consent, we will stop collecting, using, or disclosing information from that child. To respect the privacy of parents, information collected and used for the sole purpose of obtaining verifiable parental consent or providing notice is not maintained in retrievable form by the site if parental consent is not obtained after a reasonable time. 

Retention and Integrity of Information

We retain personal and non-personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, and may retain it for a longer period of time if required or permitted by law. 

You can request access, modifications to, or removal of the personal information collected by the Company through your use of the Site by contacting the Company using the contact point set forth below. To honor your request, we will need the exact information you want to access, modify, or remove. We will use reasonable efforts to provide you with access to and to modify or remove such information if requested, provided, however, we will not be liable to you should it be unable, after such efforts, to identify, modify, or remove such information. We may also decline requests that are unreasonable, require disproportionate technical effort, or that jeopardize the privacy of others. Due to the dynamic and ever-changing nature of the interactive portions of the Site, you acknowledge and agree it may be impossible for the Company to access, modify or remove your personal information from these portions of the Site.
