Healthcare Provider Outreach & Development Manager – Bag It Cancer
Job Title: Full-Time Healthcare Provider Outreach & Development Manager
Location: Tucson, AZ (with travel required for events and conferences)
Reports To: Executive Director
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, with occasional evening or weekend events
Compensation: Salary range $50,000–$55,000, depending on experience
Benefits: Simple IRA, ICHRA

Through patient education and community outreach, Bag It equips patients and caregivers with tools to navigate their cancer experience. Position Summary
We’re looking for a motivated, relationship-focused Director of Outreach & Development to lead efforts in growing our national presence among healthcare providers and expanding our donor base. This position combines healthcare outreach, fundraising, and communication strategy to grow both our impact and support.
The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal and presentation skills, a sales or development background, and a genuine passion for helping others. If you’re energized by building partnerships and telling a powerful story, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
Healthcare Provider Outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers to serve as Bag distributors and financial supporters.
- Identify and establish new national partnerships to expand Bag distribution.
- Train providers on how to use and share the Bag It Bag with their patients.
- Collect feedback from providers and patients to improve reach and impact.
- Represent Bag It at relevant events, conferences, and medical meetings.
- Travel as needed to support outreach efforts and in-person engagement.
Development
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop and implement a sponsorship plan.
- Cultivate and steward individual donors, corporate sponsors, and healthcare contributors.
- Assist in writing grants and identifying new funding opportunities.
- Support fundraising campaigns, events, and donor communications.
- Track donor activity and help maintain donor database accuracy.
Communications & Organizational Support

- Contribute outreach- and development-focused content for newsletters, website, and social media.
- Assist with strategic messaging for fundraising and awareness initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings and cross-functional planning.
- Provide occasional support for community events and campaigns.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in outreach or sales (preferably in healthcare or nonprofit)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation comfort
- Proven relationship-building and prospecting ability
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects
- Passion for supporting individuals with cancer
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Zoom, and CRM systems
